Best Dentist in Las Vegas, NV
Twice a Year dental exams and consultation is important to maintaining good oral health, especially in the event that you have some existing disease.
Benefits:
Even the subtlest improvement in your smile can make a difference in the way you look and feel. When you look good, you feel good, and you project a confident self-image.
Through an exciting dental procedure called veneering, your smile can be quickly, comfortably, and beautifully transformed.
More durable than Cosmetic Bonding, veneers are custom-made shells specifically prepared to make your teeth look natural. Having a tooth veneered is a routine procedure requiring just a couple of appointments.
In order to straighten and repair worn teeth a small amount of enamel may be removed from the tooth to allow better veneer aesthetics. Then an impression of the tooth is sent to our personal, high-quality dental laboratory where the veneer is made to match the color and shape of your teeth.
The final step consists of a bonding procedure that permanently attaches the veneer directly to the tooth.
They're custom-made, which means they're a viable alternative to dentures if you've been considering dentures previously. Dental implants are made from titanium, a biocompatible metal that's healthy for your body and easy to maintain. Implants are placed into your jawbone, where they bind with it over time to provide you with permanent tooth replacement. The primary difference between this procedure and conventional dentures is that dental implants won't break or cause gaps as they are attached directly to the jaw by bone tissue.
We offer a variety of implant types, from the more traditional "Standard Implant" which consists of an artificial tooth root with a crown, to a more comprehensive option called an "All-on-Four". This procedure will replace all of your teeth using four or six matching implants and you won't ever be without teeth.
The All-On-Four option provides patients with better chewing abilities than traditional dentures and stability because it is bonded directly into bone tissue.
About Gum Contouring:
Often people think they have unattractive teeth when they may simply have an uneven gum line or too much gum tissue hiding nice teeth.
Nothing ruins a pretty smile like uneven or excessive gum around the teeth. The amount of money and effort that goes into nice dental/orthodontic work is all in vain if the gums don’t frame the teeth properly.
It is especially critical that the two front teeth appear identical. If not, no matter how stunning the face or smile, the observing eye will immediately pick it out and be distracted without knowing why.
Some common gum problems that detract from teeth are:
These problems are solved quickly and painlessly with a special laser. Gum tissue can be removed as easily as drawing with a pencil. The gum tissue is dissolved with no bleeding and healing time is very rapid.
It is truly amazing to see how a smile can come alive after the gums have been shaped and contoured.
Cosmetic dental work almost always requires some sort of gum contouring. Our office regularly includes this procedure as part of most treatments. It makes such a difference, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
No. When performed properly tooth bleaching does not hurt the teeth in any way. It is just like bleaching a white tee shirt. The bleach does not affect the cloth …only the stain. It is important to use bleaches that do not have an acidic ph level which can damage the outer layers of the tooth. There are acidic bleaches on the market, so be careful.
It is a permanent change and would last forever if you never ate or drank anything again. Your teeth will re-stain at whatever rate they stained before. This is dependent on the type and frequency of foods you eat. Coffee, tea, smoking, red wine, and blueberry pies are some of the types of things that will continue to stain teeth.
Once the initial stain has been removed retouching is easy because the deep pigments have been removed and only the superficial ones remain. These can be removed very rapidly at home with either home trays or the paint-on bleach. This is done however often you want or need to keep them clean looking. Generally 6 months to a year is sufficient.
Not at all if used as instructed. Some people can have a mild sensitivity if they use a tartar-control toothpaste. We recommend against tartar-control toothpastes for this very reason. Proper brushing is all you need to prevent.
Benefits:
Depending on the method used, your teeth can be up to 10 shades whiter quickly and painlessly. We offer three types of tooth whitening (bleaching).
1) A Whitening Pen, which is a colorless paint-on coating, is applied twice per day for approximately two weeks. It comes in a dispenser and is applied much like fingernail polish. It will lighten by 4 to 6 shades only on the applied teeth. It's a handy touch-up method for those who don't have much time to bleach at home or don't like the taste of the tray bleaches.
2) The Home Tray Bleaching we offer uses disposable trays that contain the bleach better than over-the-counter whitening strips and only need to be worn for 30 minutes at a time.
3) In-office light-activated system. If you have clean teeth and healthy gums, you could be a candidate for ZOOM – the newest whitening method since lasers. Your teeth will lighten dramatically in a single visit. The treatment takes just over an hour with little or no discomfort.
About Dental Check-Ups:
In addition to a visual examination, Dr. Dalley will use x-rays and a periodontal probe to determine if you have any disease present, and if so, to what extent.
The periodontal probe is particularly valuable because it can reveal disease long before it’s apparent on x-rays. The probe measures the depth of the sulcus, the separation that exists between the gum and the tooth. A normal sulcus is 2 to 3 millimeters deep.
Anything more than that indicates that a pocket has developed – the result of calculus buildup or bone loss due to periodontal disease. The deeper the sulcus, the more advanced the disease.
X-rays will reveal the extent of any bone loss and will also expose any decay that may not have been discovered during the visual exam. Our dental x-rays use very high-speed digital film, so the radiation exposure is very small. X-ray exposure does not leave any residual radiation in the body and has no cumulative effect with x-rays made on any other part of the body.
You should schedule a dental exam at least every six months. That way your oral health can be properly monitored and problems can be addressed before becoming uncomfortable or requiring more comprehensive or expensive treatment.
A Preventive Resin Coating (PRC) is a plastic material that is usually applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, (premolars and molars). This plastic resin bonds into the depressions and groove (pits and fissures) of the chewing places of the teeth. The PRC acts as a barrier, protecting enamel from plaque, acids, and decay.
PRCs are easy for Dr. Dalley to apply, and it only takes a few minutes to seal each tooth. The teeth to be sealed are cleaned with an air abrasive machine to remove any stain or microscopic decay. The PRR is then painted onto the tooth enamel, where it bonds directly to the tooth and hardens. And the best part is that there are no shots or drilling required!
As long as the PRC remains intact, the tooth surface will be protected from decay. PRCs hold up under the force of normal chewing. As long as you brush and floss regularly you can know that you have just prevented that tooth from ever having decay. We guarantee PRCs for life. If they come out or break we will replace them at no charge.
No, everyone has pits and fissures in their teeth where decay can start. Why not eliminate the possibility of decay?
Yes! Decay costs $. Even the smallest filling is more expensive than a PRC and prevention is better than treatment. PRCs are very cost effective. Savings in both dollars and teeth can be gained by PRCs, rather than allowing decay and then needing to restore the tooth with a filling or even a crown.
Benefits:
Everyone has tiny cracks in their teeth where decay can start. Preventing resin coatings will protect your teeth for life. Decay Prevention. Stop decay in its cracks with Preventive Resin Coatings. We estimate at least half of all decay starts in the microscopic cracks in teeth. These are on the chewing parts (the top) of your molars. These cracks are so small not even a single toothbrush bristle can reach them. It is just a matter of time before decay starts because you cannot clean the cracks; studies show approximately 90% of them may decay.
Dental Sleep Devices:
Prior to getting the oral appliance that was custom-made just for you, your jaw musculature and bite are precisely measured. This ensures that your sleep device fits perfectly and comfortably..
Non-Surgical Treatment for Periodontitis:
An important part of regular checkups is the periodontal examination. The word periodontal literally means "around the tooth." If the exam reveals that you have moderate periodontitis, there are several non-surgical techniques that can stave off surgery. These include laser curettage (cutting away
the infected gum tissue), antibiotics, both topical and oral, and root planing (also called scaling).
Root planing is similar to normal dental cleanings, but the procedure is more aggressive and requires the removal of plaque and tartar from below the gum line. Root surfaces are cleaned and smoothed with specially designed instruments. Once the accumulated plaque and calculus have been removed, the gums can heal, tightening around the teeth. If the disease is advanced, you may be referred to a specialist for periodontal surgery.
Maintenance therapy is an ongoing program designed to prevent periodontal disease from recurring in people who have undergone periodontal treatment or surgery.
Regular periodontal monitoring is especially important for women because of hormonal fluctuations, which can affect gum tissue and menopause, which can increase the likelihood of osteoporosis.
Studies suggest there is a link between osteoporosis and bone loss in the jaw. Women considering Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to help fight osteoporosis should note that this may help protect their teeth as well as other parts of the body. At any rate, a thorough dental examination is in order.
A system of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign® is an innovative alternative to traditional metal braces that can address a wide range of dental issues. Crooked, crowded, or gap teeth can make you feel self-conscious. Crowded and misaligned teeth can also cause plaque to form on teeth, leading to gum disease. Even worse, misaligned teeth, an overbite, or an underbite can be the cause of serious conditions like temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, or TMD. While traditional metal braces used to be the only option to straighten teeth, today there is Invisalign®.
OUR COSMETIC DENTISTS
Our cosmetic dentists are extensively trained in Invisalign®, a system of clear removable aligner trays to gently and gradually move teeth into the desired position. Great for teens and adults alike, this innovative treatment can make correcting most types of dental misalignment faster and more comfortable than ever.
By using a series of aligner trays, Invisalign® can gradually shift the position of your teeth into a more aesthetically desirable and better functioning location. Each tray is custom-designed to move your smile a little bit closer to your goal. Invisalign® trays are clear and removable, so you can take them out to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Patients typically wear each aligner for about two weeks and then switch to the next one in the series. Our dentists will follow your progress and adjust the treatment plan as necessary to achieve the optimal outcome.
The amount of time it will take to complete your treatment will depend on several factors, including the type and severity of the misalignment, how consistently you wear the aligners, and your individual rate of movement. Most patients can achieve their goals in as little as 9-15 months, which is often a shorter period of time than with traditional metal braces. You can help keep treatment time brief by wearing your trays at least 22 hours per day. If you’re not eating, drinking (water), or brushing and flossing, the aligner should be worn. If you notice any damage on the aligner, let us know right away so we can keep your progress on track.

Every treatment plan is fully customized by our dentists to best suit your unique needs and desired outcome. We utilize 3-D technology so that you can see a preview of the predicted result before beginning.
While Invisalign® can address a wide range of issues, this approach is not appropriate for all patients. We can help guide you toward the method that gives you the optimal result.
One of the many benefits of Invisalign® teeth-straightening is that it often costs about the same as traditional metal braces, although with this system you can enjoy more discreet and comfortable treatment. If you’re considering Invisalign®, our dentists will develop a customized program that optimizes your results during your initial consultation. During this evaluation and planning stage, they will review the cost of treatment based on your needs and goals. Since the plan is designed individually, the price will vary from person to person.
Some of the factors that go into determining the final cost include the complexity of your case, length of time required to achieve the discussed outcome, and the number of aligners that will need to be used. The average Invisalign® user can expect to spend between $1,800 and $6,500, depending on their unique characteristics. The best way to receive an accurate quote is to schedule an appointment with our dentists, where we will provide a detailed account of what to expect.
Both traditional metal braces and Invisalign® have similar goals: to straighten teeth. The right technique for your needs can vary depending on the complexity of your treatment plan as well as personal preferences. Many patients prefer Invisalign®, as it can provide a more comfortable experience. Invisalign® has no metal or wires to dig into the soft tissues of the mouth, and the trays can be removed for pictures or special events, if desired. The trays are also low maintenance and virtually invisible, while braces require considerable upkeep and can be quite noticeable, even if clear or white ceramic brackets are used. As with all procedures, we will discuss your options during your consultation so you can make the best decision for you.
Invisalign® can be a great choice for teenagers as well as adults. Invisalign® Teen is specially designed for the unique dental needs and goals of adolescents. Just like original Invisalign®, Invisalign® Teen uses a series of clear aligner trays to shift the teeth over a period of time. The trays are clear, removable, and easy to care for. If you think your teen could benefit from this teeth-straightening method, talk to us today. We believe everyone should have access to a smile they feel confident showing off. If you’re ready for Invisalign® and are interested in dental financing options, we can help you find the right plan for your needs, lifestyle, and budget. Talk to us today for more information.
Remember the days of metal braces with all the food restrictions and the pain of having wires in your mouth? Modern technology in orthodontics has produced an alternative, a new method of straightening teeth. Invisalign uses smooth plastic aligners, which are custom-made for the individual.
These plastic covers go over the teeth and move them a little at a time in accordance with the orthodontist’s specifications. More comfortable than traditional metal braces, clear Invisalign braces are removable so you can maintain good oral hygiene. Also, the fact that they are removable means that you are able to eat the foods you love during therapy. You won’t be in the dental office as much either as with metal braces because there are no wires to be adjusted.
One of the really nice advantages of wearing Invisalign braces is that they are virtually invisible. This is especially nice for the younger set, who always seem to be so self-conscious. Another perk of this system is having the ability to actually see beforehand what your completed therapy will look like.
You do not need to use your imagination to figure out how you will look with straight teeth. You will be able to see for yourself by way of a computer-generated image.
